ern Star ChaPter Sunday of last
week. Mrs. Glenn Plattenberger,

Meistersinger Festival honor

Sixty-nine students from 40
high schools took part. The
festival was under the direction
of PrQf. Frank Piersol of the
University of Iowa.
Jeff Sindley, Lisbon instru-
mental music instructor, accom-
panied the school band, minus
the three players, to the West
WaPsi festival at Stanwood on
Saturday, and attended the con-
cert at Waverly on Sunday.

Guest conductor was Dr. William
Tietze from the University of
