PRAIRIE HIGH SHOP
LACKS EQUIPMENT
Three Prairie shop el,asses were
organized the second semester even
though the building was not quite
completed and some equipment was
lacking.
"Work benches, due any time, will
be assembled by the 64 boys in the
classes," according to Clarence
Bergman, shop teacher. A first pro-
ject wiU be making of a tool crib
and of speakers' stands for class
rooms.
Machinery, some of the remaining
tools, lumber for projects are among
the "missing" in the shop. Machin-
ery will be used towards spring for
cutting, sanding, drilling, planing,
etc.
The shop building is divided into
four rooms, one-half for woodwork
and shop only and the other half is
made up of three smaller rooms~a
wash room, drafting room, and
planing room. Later on, the planing
room will be divided into three
rooms to be used for storing tools,
office records and extra drafting
rocm.
Mrs. Joseph Kadlec suffered a
ganeral illness ibis week and was
taken to a Cedar Rapids hospital for
treatment. She is convalescing at
her home in E!y.
