in the Porter family within a week
was that of Benton Porter at Beloit,
Wis. The deceased were brothers
of the late John Doner.
LISBON BOY SCOUT NEWS
A group of seventeen Lisbon boys
are now actively participating in
the troop meetings, hikes, etc of
the Boy Scouts.
Recently five boys were awarded
tenderfoot badges in a Scout Sun-
day Church Service held in the
Methodist church These boys in-
cluded Lester Notbohm, Harry
Phelps, Ralph Bostrom, Jean John-
ston, and Kenneth Hoffman.
Rev. W. D. Bostrom spoke briefly
before the Junior High Classes at
'the school during Scout Week, and
awarded another Tenderfoot badge
to Larry Gouchee.
Ray Overman was awarded a Sec-
ond Class badge at a Court of Hon-
or held at the Mount Vernon school
Gordon Rahn, acting as Assistant
Scoutmaster has been ably assisting
Rev. Wm. D. Bostrom in promoting
a new spirit among the boys in
the troop.
