set, ted an April Shower of Stars
Saturday night with 50 participat-
ing. The processional was most im-
pressive as the Assembly came
down the aisles of the auditorium
in multi-colored formals singing
"April Showers." The Worthy Ad-
visors of 1957--Nancy Clark, Lor-
raine 1~orningstar and Jean Cook-.
ks---entered as the Assembly formed
a large bow on stage singing "A
Rainbow Is Spanning the East
Now." The audience joined in sing-
ing "God Bless America."
Miss Morningstar presented "The
Broken Doll" an oratorical reading
that won a top rating at Grinnell
and Iowa City. Past Advisor Marl
lyn Dean, who placed first in the
state with a marimba solo, chose to
play "Chul Chui" and "Rainbow
Song" accompanied by her sister
Deanne. She then accompanied Con-
nie Meyer also a first division win-
ner on her alto clarinet solo "Valse
Scintilla." An interpretative read-
ing "Thidwick the Big-Hearted
Moose" given by Judy Busenbark
was very well received by the
