CHRISTIAN" SCIENCE NOTES
"Ancient and Modern Necro
mancy, Alias Mesmerism and Hyp
notisra, Denounced" will be the sub.
ject of the Lesson-Sermon in all
Churches of Christ, Scientist, on
Sunday, May 28.
The Lesson-Sermon comprises
quotations from the Bible and from
the Christian Science textbook,
"Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures" by Mary Baker
Eddy.
One of the Bible citations reads:
"Then was brought unto him one
west coast of South America. Ports
of call are Cristobal in the Canal
Zone and po~ts in Colombia, Ecua-
dor and Peru.
Miss Marquart lived the past year
in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
Boyd at Eldora where she has
taught. Mrs. Boyd was co-hostess
with two teachers for a Ben Voy-
age party for Miss Marquart at
the Boyd home.
Santiago College was founded in
1880 in response to the decision
that there should be Christian edu-
cational interchange between our
possessed with a devil, blind, and
dumb: and he healed him, inso-
much that the blind and dumb both
spake and saw. But when the
Pharisees heard it, they said, This
fellow doth not cast out devils, but
by Beelzebub the prince of the
devils. And Jesus knew their
thoughts, and said unto them, Every
kingdom divided against itself is
i brought to desolation; and every
city or house divided against itself
shall not stand: But if 1 cast out
devils by the Spirit of God, then the
kingdom of God is come unto you"
(Matthew 12: 22, 24, 25, 28).
Among the selections from the
Christian Science textbook is the
following: "Sickness is part of the
error which Truth casts out. Error
will not expel error. Christian
Science is the law of Truth, which
heals the sick on the basis of the
one Mind or God" (p. 482).
