At high noon yesterday, June 25,
Miss Ardis Stinger, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Arlo Stinger, was married
to Jay W. Torrance. son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jay Torrance, of Cedar Rapids.
The ceremony was performed by
tt~e Rev. C. F. Hartzell in the home
of the bride's parents in the pres-
euce of the immediate families and
a few friends.
Attending the couple were: Miss
Jeanne Sullivan of Davenport and
Gordon Porter of Cedar Falls. Miss
Carolyn Neal played the nuptial
music.
The bride was born and raised in
the vicinity of Mount Vernon. She
was graduated from Mount Vernon
high school and the Paris Academy
of Beauty, in Cedar Rapids. The
groom was graduated from the Ce-
dar Falls high school and attended

a short wedding trip the couple
will return to Cedar Rapids where
