near Mount Vernon, offers to the

i tn its Fern Garden. The garden i~
now in its nineteenth summer and
has in it ten specios of ferns found
in the park. Whtle several more
ferns aro found in the area some
do not lend themselves to trans-
planting and, therefore cannot be
enumerated among those in the
garden. The influence of Dr. Jaques
of Iowa Wesleyan College, was in-
strumental in starting such a pro-
l ject. Under the excellent care of

poinsettias, which are now in
bloom, are peculiar as well as rare
