The painted picture has one re-
turn from a vacation completely rest-
ed, fresh as a daisy, with spirits
high and a rose-tinted view of the
world and one's work. In this pic-
ture memories flood the thought
and conversation--the grandeur of
a canyon, the thrill of a big league
game, the peace of the great north
woods.
Somehow I missed the boat! I'm
back at the job with bags under
my eyes, aspirin in my purse; I look
as fresh as the lettuce from Sat-
urday's salad and the world looks
orange and olive green with a dash
of mustard. I haven't even enough
miLage to my credit to qualify for a
trip story!
I led off by cleaning the barn on
Monday, the dog pen on Tuesday.
Wednesday I staggered out at 4:30
to go by taxi with 6 others to the
IFWC convention at Des Moines.
Didn't see a sight on the trip down
--had my eyes shut! Wondered all
the way what a cigar tastes like at
5:00 a.m,
