Mrs. Frank Wooldridge. Guests
were Mr. and Mrs. G L. Albright.
Mrs. Amanda Runkle went to
i Mrs. Margaret Gormly's home in
i Mount Vernon today where she will
be a guest for several days. Mrs.

i mer with Mrs Amanda Runkle will
!be with Mrs. A. K. Runkle and
'Miss Hazel for the winter, going!
i to their home on Monday.
Miss Elizabeth Smith returned
i Saturday from an eight weeks visit
in Pennsylvania, where she was a
~guest of relatives at Norristown
laud at Wayne spent two weeks with
former Lisbon people, Mrs. Austin
Hauck and her mother, Mrs Anna
iHackford. She has been with Mrs.
i Stella Hersh since her return, un-
til Wednesday when she went to
i stay with Miss Agnes Baird.
The property consists of store room and full apartment
above with basement and sewer connections all in. The
apartments are very comfortable and are rented. The
store building is plenty large for any business one would
care to run. Here is a property that will be a real
investment for some one, a place for a business and
also a place to live. The taxes are very low on this
property and with Homestead Exemption out they
would be very low. Any one interested in looking this
property over can do so by seeing the Auctioneer or
the Administrator.

EDITORIAL
Hobbies are interesting things
aren't they? I often stop and won-
der just how many different hob-
bies there are. It seems such a
hopeless task to even begin to
count them! So many kinds of
sports; so many types of things to
collect; so many "just hobbies" that
the task is next to impossible.
Some hobbies develop into what
might easily be called mania
Don't, however, worry about be-
coming a maniac just because of
some hobby. Scientific investiga-
tions have proved that of all people
who go insane those who have hob-
bies of some sort are among the
smallest percentage. This may be
because they have something upon
which to concentrate their nervous
energy, or it may just be a coin-
cidence At any rate, hobbies are
fun and some of them are profit-
able, so I'm for more and better
hobbies
SATIRE ON CRITICS
They praise originality
The critics of our time
They even call a thing a poem
Although it doesn't rhyme
They even say it doesn't have
To have a certain swing
And when they see a decent poem
They never praise the thing.
Three-fourths these dizzy fellows
That think they are so smart
Never read an English text
Or saw a work of art.
But still the critics honor
The dizzy sort of guy
Who thinks the world's his oyster
'Cause dumbbells don't reply.
The reason that we have no point
And make no just retort
Is 'cause one feller ain't enough
An' it's hard to get support.
So come, ye bally suckers
Someone's ears are gonna burn
Just lend your lips unto my cause--
The worm's a gonna turn.

LAST YEAR'S SENIORS
Some people have been wonder-
ing what last year's enterprising
young seniors are doing. Perhaps
we can enlighten you a little on
this subject.
Surely you all remember Merle
Dahn. He's working at Fouse's
Frocery now. And loveable Jeanne
Stone draws the younger set to the
Dinner Den. Deborah Graver can
be found at Bennett's Real Estate
Office, and Elva Argotsinger may
be seen in Ramsey's drug store
She is also attending business col-
lege in Cedar Rapids.
Two of Lisbon's young ladies are
attending Cornell, Peggy Frink and
Elizabeth Frederick. Evelyn Mey-
ers goes to Monmouth College,
where she has pledged the Alpha
chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gam-
ma sorority.
Visitors at the Andreas home may
see Eva Brannaman's cheery smile.
Helen Light is toiling away at Roy
Bowman's. The farm has claimed
Bernard Ciha, while the army has
claimed Ralph Williams.
We wish them luck in whichever
sphere of life they find themselves
hope they are successful. Will tell
you more about other members of
the class next week.
SENIOR MOVIE
Our first view of Merle Zearing
