SENIOR INTERVIEW
Betty Mohn, one of our promi-
nent seniors, came to Lisbon when
she was in eighth grade. Betty has
been active in most phases of ath-
letics, having played four years on
the kittenball team and one year
of basketball. Music attracted her
attention, and she participated in
glee club work for two years, and
was a member of the chorus in
the operetta. Perhaps you will re-
member her excellent work in the
humorous divisioneof the Declam
contests for the last four years.
Betty was president of her class
during her junior year, and appear-
ed on the stage in the play, "Green
Light." She has hopes of becom-
ing a nurse at the University of
Iowa at Iowa City. We wish her
the best of luck.
L. H. S. BACHELOR CLUB
This organization has just been
opened at our fair school, and elec-
tion of officers will be held at one
of the future Jam Sessions drift-
ing around town.
Some of the presidential candi-
dates are Clare Yeggy, Ralph Burge
and Eugene Clark.
Some of the expected members
will be: Dale Wagaman, "Dec"
Brannaman, "Mike" Bova, "Bill"
Yount, "Buck" Beasmore (If we do
not lose him to Mount Vernon.)
SPOTLIGHT OF L. H. S.
During Lois' absence from school
Paul has been lost, although he was
a daily (nightly) caller in the Roup
manor.

AT AMERICAS
THANKSGIVING
I, ,i
No Business will
be Transacted
by this Ba,k on
lhanksgivi,g Day.
The Pilgrims did not thank Prov-
idence for having made life soR
for them. Hardship was their com-
mon lot. Arrows as well as berries
#*
came from the bushes.
They gave thanks for the spiritual
strength and guidance coming
down to them from on High.
In the same spirit today, as we
sit at our feast of abundance, let
us thank the Giver of All for the
"sauce of courage," for the threat
of danger which has saved us from
fatal softness, and united us in a
renewed love of liberty and of
country.

article started last week pertaining
to the whereabouts of last year's
seniors.
It seems that quite a number of
the girls are of the home-loving
type. In this group you will find
Velma Brannaman, Carolyn Kep-
ler, Ruby Brokel, and Naomi Un-
ruh.
The Reimer girls, Maxine and
Nelavene are working at Roy
Kohl's and Wallick's respectively.
Wilma Gage is working in Cedar
Rapids, and Verna Kirkpatrick is
majoring in housework in Ottum-
wa.
Loren Van Fossen is employed as
a salesman by the Dental Labora-
tory in Cedar Rapids. Glenn Hall
decided not to stray too far from
home to obtain work. He works
nights at the Lisbon D-X station.
Marjorie Vandeberg majored in
matrimony and is now a professor
in the Hazlett institution. She re-
cently became Mrs. Leonard Haz-

last year's seniors.--FR.
